SHORT TERM THERAPY
This is usually one to twelve sessions often for a specific problem or change in life such as redundancy, bullying at work, relationship breakdowns, anxiety arising from an event. This work may involve Cognitive Behaviour Therapy which looks at the ways you think and behave, and helps you to achieve a more balanced perspective on life.
LONG TERM THERAPY
This is for people who I see every week. Some clients may have problems or life changing emotional events such as abuse, bereavement, the ending of a close relationship, ongoing depression and anxiety. These conditions often require an intensive, safe and very supportive period of therapy. Repeating patterns of behaviour can be identified and changed.
This is for people who want to concentrate on their future and want more direction. You may benefit from more goal setting. This can be useful for career changes and healthy work/life balance. I work often with Chief Executives and Senior Managers who feel under intense pressure, and have become too work orientated and lost sight of what else life has to offer.
This is for people who have previously experienced my therapeutic approach. This contact may take the form of a review, like a yearly mind MOT and is often between one to three sessions, or we may agree more sessions. With this approach, over the years I get to work with challenges, changes or repeating patterns in people's lives.
